چکیده
In this study, we conducted an efficient microwave-assisted transesterification process combining homogeneous and heterogeneous catalytic phases to produce biodiesel from waste soybean oil. A cylindrical quartz reactor packed with nanoparticles of Fe3O4 as a co-catalyst was applied improve the reaction. The carried out methanol-to-oil molar ratio 6:1, power 560 W, residence time 30 s. specifications produced in study were compared two standards, i.e., ASTM D6751 EN 14214. We found that continuous conversion oil methyl ester approximately 95%. showed higher flash point carbon residue content than both viscosity (5.356 mm2/s) density (898.1 kg/m3) at high level. Compared conventional heating plate, energy consumption significantly reduced by nearly 93%. It is expected these findings will provide useful information for green sustainable processes regeneration reuse

Biodiesel production from soybean oil using ionic liquid as a catalyst in a microreactor
In the present study, Choline hydroxide (ChOH) as an ionic liquid catalyst was used for transesterification of soybean oil into biodiesel in a microchannel reactor. The effects of three variables i.e. reaction temperature, catalyst dosage and total flow rate on fatty acid methyl ester (FAME) content (wt. %) were optimized using Box–Behnken experimental design. In order to predict the FAME conte...
متن کاملEnhancing Biodiesel Production from Soybean Oil Using Ultrasonics
Our objective was to determine the effect of ultrasonics on biodiesel production from soybean oil. In this study, ultrasonic energy was applied in two different modes: pulse and continuous sonication. Soybean oil was mixed with methanol and a catalytic amount of sodium hydroxide, and the mixture was sonicated at three levels of amplitude (60, 120, and 180 μmpp) in pulse mode (5 s on/25 s off). ...

A comparative study of biodiesel production from waste cooking oil using sulfuric acid (Two-step) and microwaveassisted transesterification (One-step) was carried out. A two-step transesterification process was used to produce biodiesel (alkyl ester) from high free fatty acid (FFA) waste cooking oil. Microwave-assisted catalytic transesterification using BaO and KOH was evaluated for the effica...
